Welcome to Granite Lake France!

Granite Lake was purchased in 2018 from a Parisian family who had used it as their holiday retreat. The lake was originally stocked by them but had never been fished commercially.

Nestled in the picturesque Creuse Department, it is conveniently located just a five-minute drive from the A20 autoroute.

The lake itself dates back to before 1750 and is recognised as Pre-Napoleonic, steeped in history and charm.

My passion for fishing began in childhood, and by the late 1980s, I was exploring the iconic public waters of France, including Lac du Der, Salagou, and Cassien. Back in the UK, I spent time fishing in the Darenth Valley and was fortunate enough to hold a ticket for the legendary Sutton-at-Hone Lake, which was just across the road from our home.

Granite Lake is truly a fisherman’s lake. It’s not an easy water, nor is it a runs venue. Success here requires solid watercraft and angling skills, but with the right approach, the rewards are well worth the effort.

We look forward to welcoming you and sharing this remarkable venue with you! So if you would like to make a booking then please send us a message via our contact page!
